Our Story
Every dream has an origin. This is ours…
SpiritSword Evangelical Ministry is a God-given vision rooted in the power of the Word of God, prayer, evangelism, missionary work, and crusade outreach.
The journey of SpiritSword Evangelical Ministry “SSEM” began in April 2006 through a divine revelation in which God made known the assignment He was committing into my hands—an evangelistic mission centered on missionary work and crusades.
At that time, the name of the ministry had not yet been revealed, but I continued in prayer, trusting God for clarity while remaining confident in the direction He was leading me.
Between 2012 and 2013, I was actively involved in writing prayer content for a network in Nigeria while also seeking partnership opportunities to expand this work. During this period, the name “Spirit Sword” was revealed, drawn from Ephesians 6:17:
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
This scripture became the foundation and identity of the ministry. Therefore, SpiritSword represents the Word of God; the living and powerful instrument through which God accomplishes His purpose in the lives of people.
The Lord impressed upon me that His Word is the ultimate solution to every human challenge. Through the Word of God, bondage is broken, deliverance is made manifest, and light shines in darkness.
This conviction defines our ministry approach. We do not pray without the Scriptures, and we remain committed to evangelism through the transforming power of God’s Word.
From 2006 to 2019, I served faithfully under Christ LivingSpring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Omole, Lagos, Nigeria. During this period, I was actively involved in crusade outreach and ministry assignments.
Following my official sending forth in 2019, I entered a season of prayer, preparation, and seeking God’s direction concerning the full launch of the assignment He had entrusted to me.
On November 22, 2021, in obedience to God’s instruction to gather His people in fellowship, we held our first meeting. This gathering was inspired by Proverbs 27:17:
“As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”
The meeting was conducted through a conference call, bringing together participants from Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Canada, and various parts of the United States.
We continued in this format for several months before transitioning to Zoom to encourage greater participation and allow attendees to follow along with Scripture references and teaching materials.
Structured teachings supported by PowerPoint presentations were introduced, incorporating biblical teachings, scriptures, and prayer points designed to strengthen spiritual growth, discipleship, and understanding of God’s Word.
Approximately three years ago, the ministry expanded its outreach by going live on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. Through these platforms, God has continued to increase the reach and impact of the ministry.
SpiritSword Evangelical Ministry held its first Welfare Crusade in 2023 in Lagos, Nigeria. During this outreach, we not only preached the Word of God but also demonstrated God’s love through the distribution of raw food items to families and individuals in need.
This was followed by a second crusade in 2024. Although a crusade was not held the following year, the ministry continues to advance with renewed focus, greater vision, and plans for expanded outreach in the years ahead.
Through every season, God has remained faithful.
Today, SpiritSword Evangelical Ministry continues to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, spread the transforming power of God’s Word, bring deliverance to the oppressed, strengthen believers through prayer and discipleship, and shine the light of Christ across nations.
As we move forward, our commitment remains unchanged; to reach souls, equip believers, and advance the Kingdom of God through evangelism, missionary work, prayer, and the uncompromising teaching of God’s Word.
SpiritSword Evangelical Ministry is a Christ-centered outreach founded on the power of God’s Word, prayer, evangelism, and missionary work. Since its inception in 2006, the ministry has been dedicated to spreading the Gospel, discipling believers, and transforming lives through teaching, fellowship, and crusade outreach across nations.
